My name is Denese Sivixay and I am the
daughter of Thongkhanh and Montha Sivixay. I graduated from Klein Forest High
School in May of 2006. I received a two thousand dollar scholarship from the
Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for graduating early. In my spare
time I go to my dad’s mechanic shop and help him out. Even though I cannot fix
cars, I still manage to help him with customers. I like the fact that my dad
is his own boss because he owns the place. Therefore I look up to my dad when
I want to major in business management. Since I have been helping him out at
the shop, I notice that I am great in sales. Not to mention that it gave me a
lot of experience in accounting and bookkeeping. I can talk to people and know
what to say to make them want to buy the product that I am selling. Being good
in sales is great for business management because I practically have to sell
to make money. As of now I am currently attending Tomball Community College to
get my basics. After my two years I am going to transfer to the University of
Houston. There they have the Bauer College of Business. I plan to get an
Executive M.B.A. which will approximately take me six to eight years. That is
what I am planning to do but things may change in the future so I am not too
sure. Although I am sure that business is my main goal to establish. I want to
succeed in life so I can be independent and not have to rely on my parents all
the time. As I get older I know how hard it is in the real world. Also I would
like to help repay my parents and take care of them like how they took care of
me. Everyone knows that responsibilities involve work and work comes from
knowledge and that knowledge is taught from college. So my main goal is
succeed through college and let my parents see me graduate and make it on my
own in the future!
